Commemorating a Moment of Dissent
In response to the 2016 election of Donald Trump, an installation of more than 10,000 Post-it notes called Subway Therapy was created in the Union Square subway station.
First Look Media commissioned a limited edition book that commemorated this momentous expression of free speech. Creative Director Weston Bingham and I designed the book, which contained photographs of the installation, as well as minimalist depictions of the thoughts and feelings written on the Post-it notes.
Photographs were printed on the inside of French-folded and perforated pages, requiring the reader to tear open the pages and make their own mark on the book.
Made in collaboration with Weston Bingham.
